Craft Items must have's

I'm a big crafter at heart, I love to find time to sit and be creative anytime of the day, it's very calming and soothing for me to just find a craft or have something in my head to start my juices flowing, I have way to much stuff, but it keeps me from running to the store everytime I think I need something, when all I have to do is go to my craft box,bin or closet or even the shed to find what I need, and most times I do already have it, so if your a big crafter at heart there's a few item's I have and keep close by for those crafting moments, always have a pen and paper pad to keep those notes, a glue gun and tacky glue(aleene's) you can combine these 2 glue's (hot glue and aleenes') tacky glue to any project and they form a permanent bond.
All other items would be a good staple gun, markers(sharpie markers) all colors, scissors, tape, white glue, ribbon, pipe cleaners, scrapbook paper and construction paper( a must for kids) idea books and a good sturdy table.
kids will always want to be creative along with you, mine are always wanting to join in the fun. I love it! you can craft anywhere you are comfortable, i love to craft on our kitchen table, like I said it's everywhere :) I love to craft and share my pictures where ever possible, you can also be crafty with recycled things you already have. but that another post. so either way if your big crafter or a little bit of crafter you should start small and work your way to a good tool box and stock up of some of the items I posted above. you will and can find extra things as you go along that maybe you can't live without or just want or need to have. either way it's fun, and you can gather your friends to have a crafting swap party, swap items you don't use or need, just have fun and please feel free to join this blog and or share with your friends. Thanks so much!!!!

ATC Cards

I love to dabble with whatever comes my way, I give anything and everything a try at least once, and if it turns out good, I make a few or keep at it, and my love for scrapbooking has led me to have lots and lots of scrapbook paper, patterned, plained glitter and more, I was introduced to altered stuff years ago, cards, recipe books, journals, CD's and more, so this year I actually made some ATC's from cards, using my own of course, or making them as well. here is one I call jungle Cat, orange paint, a picture of a bengal tiger found from a magazine, and stamp I already had on hand, this is how it turned out, enjoy!

Home Time

My kids are very important tome, we love to laugh together, joke around together, shop together and just hang out together when we can, and it's the most important time we have which is every weekend, we love to go hang out at the park, or at the mall, just walking and window shopping, there's no wrong way to enjoy your family. no matter how you do it, it's always a fun time! so here is a few pictures of my kids enjoying what they love best, taking pictures of theirselves, my daughter on the first day of school, my youngest son playing basketball with his team, and my oldest with his beautiful girlfriend. love that family time:)

Pen Makeover

Another craft past time gone by and of course we all have those pens laying around, sometimes we have way tomany pens, and besides taking them apart and using them for numerous things, one thing I love to d is remake a pen for myself to use and carry around with me. and with something you already have at home or can find very cheap at any store is nail polish, any kind will do, I use the very cheapest I can find. you canuse it for many things besides decorating your nails, and here is a cute thing to do with those pens when your just tired of the pen you carry around in your purse or on your check book, give those pens a new look! This pen was a clear pen, and I added several coats(8) let dry in between coats and it has a little bit of glitter to it. but this is my own new decked out pen, you can deck pens out with nail decorations if you like,my daughter has one for her own. you can use stickers on them and cover with clear sealer(varnish) and your set to go. make a few, give a few, keep a few. grab some pens and get to painting!

Rose in disguise

I love roses, prefer the red ones, but when crafting and creating crafts, I will take them any color, this is one of my roses made from nothing more than T.Paper(toilet paper) yes that's right! you read it right, use a brand new roll(several sheets) I make these also from party napkins(Top pic), tissue paper and T.paper. they are easy and makes a great adition to any craft, once made, you can spray it with a little hair spray to stiffen it, or spray with varnish, but not real close, will use several coats. use them on crafting objects, scrapbooking, make alot of them to add them to your home decor and more. add some shimmer or glitter to make them shine and look pretty. they work great for weddings as well. make them to add to your table setting with a box of chocolates, your guest will love them. Enjoy and Have fun.

Angel of Metal

I have a love for angels, they are very inspiring, they have a peace and calming affect on me. I love to make my own angels, create angels from what and everything I can. before throwing anything away I look at it and if I can make it into an angel, then that's what it becomes. here is my own metal screen angel, made from the metal of a screen door. I used metal cutters to cut my angel out, after tracing the pattern on using a black sharpie marker, painted silver and added a heart in the middle, using metal paint. add my ribbon and I have this adorable metal angel ornament. Enjoy

Wands for kids

When crafting I like to see and try new things. so when i have time i like to get together with my friends and see what we have crafted. these were crafted by a good friend of mine and given to me. you could also use these using straws for the handles, or wooden dowels. these were made with the dowels(plastic) from window blinds, wooden stars, painted your choice of colors. add ribbon, and your done. makes great kids gits or even party favors. also use tulle netting for the tops of wands. lots of fun to be had with these cute wands.

Earring Holder

I have way to many earrings and onlyhave 1 armoire to put all my jewelry in, that includes the jewelry I have been given as gifts, and jewelry I have bought and of course can't forget the jewelry I have made and continue to make. so here is one solution, I have made these in the past years as well. Photo straw frame

I'm always crafting and creating things here and there, I tend to look at something and wonder" what would happen if I melted this" or what could this become. so since plastic melts and drinking straws are plastic, I decided to cut a few drinking straws up and put onto a cookie sheet and set in over to melt. and sure e nough they did. I'm since been making cards and using them in my scrapbooking and adding them to picture frames. and this is the picture frame done in straws after being melted.
they cool hard and make a cute decoration on anything. they come off the cookie sheet witha flat backing so they are easy to glue onto whatever you want to glue them too.

Bows

I'm always creating new things, and wondering how to re-use things, like bags,CD'sboxes and more. I even keep flowers(fake) and re-use those when I can. here is a plastic bag bow with a blue carnation flower(fake) and another one using a paper towel dyed colored heart. they turned out really cute and of course will re-use, and put on a gift. it's a plastic bag that the cleaners use to cover your clothes when you pick or have them dropped off. such a fun way to re-use these bags and not have them go to waste. enjoy!

Mini Wreath

I do love christmas with all the beautiful decorations and beautiful tree's decorated. I love driving around and looking at all the decorated yards at night, the way they light up with all the beautiful colors and different themes. it's just the icing on the cake for me, it gets me in the mood for this special holiday, so at home we like to creat these cute inexpensive little mini wreaths, you cna use them for ornaments on your tree, use them for package toppers, or use for gift tags, or magnets or make a few and give as gifts. either way they are cute and easy and so much fun to do. so put some smiles on your friends face for the holidays with these cute mini(pom pom) wreaths. Paint Sample Tag

I love to scrapbook here and there, since I'm out and about everyday with my kids, I'm always on the lookout for anything and everything I can use to add to my scrapbooking stash. since I try to stay on a budget, which is hard having 4 kids but I do really well at it, I look at everything at a different perpective. and since hubby is always in home depot or wal-mart, I'm going in with my eyes wide open for anything I can find. cheap or free. so this is what I ran into in the paint dept, the paint samples now come with what looks to be a tag sample, it has a square instead of a hole, and it being in different colors, I just had to grab a few and create this cute b-day tag for my daughters friends gift. this is how it looks now. so on your next outing, grab a few and get creating some cute tags. we just added stickers and used stamps for the (Happy b-day) words, and added a green ribbon.
